for VSV qPCR Panel
The Vesicular Stomatitis Virus Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid and specific detection of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) RNA from vesicular fluid, epithelial tissue, vesicular swabs, oral and nasal swabs, EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, lesion tissue, and other appropriate veterinary clinical samples. It supports early diagnosis, differential diagnosis of vesicular diseases, timely outbreak investigation, implementation of disease control measures, and surveillance in horses, cattle, and swine.
Intended Use
The Vesicular Stomatitis Virus Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus (VSV) RNA in veterinary clinical specimens collected from susceptible animals, including horses, cattle, and swine. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of vesicular stomatitis, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of vesicular diseases, timely implementation of outbreak control measures, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes reverse transcription real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of the Vesicular Stomatitis Virus genome.
During the reverse transcription step, viral RNA is converted into complementary DNA (cDNA), which is subsequently amplified by real-time PCR. The probe specifically hybridizes to its target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus RNA.
