Antimicrobial Resistance Marker

This Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) multiplex PCR panel is intended for the qualitative, or semi-quantitative, detection of genetic determinants that confer resistance to multiple antibiotic classes. The kit consolidates key markers across β-lactams (including ESBLs and carbapenemases), aminoglycosides, macrolides/lincosamides, fluoroquinolones, tetracyclines, glycopeptides, sulfonamides, trimethoprim, and colistin. It includes ten (10) validated multiplex reaction mixes (AMRM-1 to AMRM-10), one (1) internal process control, positive control material, and a no-template control, enabling robust workflows for clinical, surveillance, and One Health applications.

Detection reagents are manufactured and packaged as Open System Reagents (OSR) for use on common real-time qPCR instruments, including Applied Biosystems QuantStudio (Design & Analysis v1.5.1 or later), Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast Dx (SDS v1.4 or later), and Bio-Rad CFX96/CFX384 (Maestro v1.1 or later).

This AMR reagent kit consists of pre-formulated multiplex qPCR reactions and assay controls for monitoring performance. Retro Biotech reagents are supplied as pre-mixed reaction tubes (AMRM-1 to AMRM-10). It is recommended to run the internal control (IC), amplification/positive control (AC/PC), and a no-template control (NTC) with each batch of samples.
