Intended Use

Principle of the Assay

This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting conserved genomic regions of Trypanosoma evansi.

During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to the target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of T. evansi DNA in veterinary clinical specimens.
