for Trypanosoma evansii qPCR Panel
The Trypanosoma evansi Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of Trypanosoma evansi DNA from EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, buffy coat, tissue specimens, and other appropriate veterinary clinical samples. Designed for veterinary diagnostic laboratories and animal health professionals, the kit supports early diagnosis of surra, facilitating timely treatment, outbreak investigation, and effective disease control in susceptible livestock and companion animals. Molecular detection is particularly valuable during the early stages of infection.
Intended Use
The Trypanosoma evansi Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Trypanosoma evansi nucleic acids in veterinary clinical specimens. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of surra in susceptible animal species, supporting early detection, timely therapeutic intervention, disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting conserved genomic regions of Trypanosoma evansi.
During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to the target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of T. evansi DNA in veterinary clinical specimens.
