for TickSure Canine qPCR Panel
The TickSure Canine Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is intended for the rapid and accurate detection of multiple clinically significant tick-borne pathogens affecting dogs from appropriate veterinary clinical specimens. The assay provides high sensitivity and specificity, enabling early diagnosis, differential identification of vector-borne infections, and timely clinical intervention. It supports effective disease management, treatment monitoring, and improved animal health outcomes in veterinary diagnostic laboratories and clinical practice.
Intended Use
The TickSure Canine Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of nucleic acids from multiple clinically significant vector-borne pathogens associated with tick- and mosquito-borne infections in dogs. The kit aids in the diagnosis, differential identification, and monitoring of canine vector-borne diseases in veterinary clinical settings, supporting timely therapeutic intervention and effective disease management.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology with pathogen-specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting conserved genomic regions of the pathogens included in the panel. During amplification, each probe specifically hybridizes to its corresponding target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal upon cleavage by the DNA polymerase. The fluorescence is detected in real time by compatible PCR instruments, and the increase in signal is proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling accurate detection and differentiation of the target pathogens.
Performance Characteristics
Sample Type
Canine EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, buffy coat, splenic aspirates, lymph node aspirates, bone marrow aspirates, or other appropriate veterinary clinical specimens.
