for theileria equi qPCR Panel
The Theileria equi Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Theileria equi nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens collected from equids, including horses, mules, donkeys. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of equine piroplasmosis, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of equine hemoparasitic diseases, timely therapeutic intervention, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Intended Use
The Theileria equi Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Theileria equi nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens collected from equids, including horses, mules, donkeys, and zebras. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of equine piroplasmosis, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of equine hemoparasitic diseases, timely therapeutic intervention, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of Theileria equi.
During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to its target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Theileria equi nucleic acid.
Performance Characteristics
Sample Type
Equine EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, buffy coat, bone marrow aspirates, spleen aspirates, tissue specimens, and other appropriate veterinary clinical specimens collected from clinically suspected horses, mules, donkeys, and zebras.
