For Rabies Virus qPCR Panel
The Rabies Virus RT-PCR Detection Kit enables rapid and specific detection of Rabies virus RNA from brain tissue, saliva, oral swabs, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), nuchal skin biopsies, and other appropriate veterinary clinical samples. It supports early diagnosis, differential diagnosis of neurological diseases, timely implementation of public health and infection control measures, and rabies surveillance in susceptible animals.
Intended Use
The Rabies Virus RT-PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Rabies virus RNA in veterinary clinical specimens collected from susceptible animals. The kit aids in the diagnosis and confirmation of rabies virus infection, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of neurological diseases, timely implementation of infection control and public health measures, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes reverse transcription real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of the Rabies virus genome.
During the reverse transcription step, viral RNA is converted into complementary DNA (cDNA), which is subsequently amplified by real-time PCR. The probe specifically hybridizes to its target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Rabies virus RNA.
