for FMDV qPCR Panel
The Pan Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid and specific detection of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) RNA from vesicular fluid, epithelial tissue, vesicular swabs, oral and nasal swabs, probang samples, EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, milk, and other appropriate veterinary clinical samples. It supports early diagnosis, differential diagnosis of vesicular diseases, timely outbreak management, and disease surveillance in susceptible livestock.
Intended Use
The Pan Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus Screening Kit is designed for the detection of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens collected from susceptible cloven-hoofed animals. The kit aids in the diagnosis and screening of foot-and-mouth disease, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of vesicular diseases, rapid outbreak investigation, disease surveillance, and effective veterinary disease control in diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a highly conserved genomic region of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus genome, enabling broad detection of all major FMDV serotypes.
During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to its target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus nucleic acid.
