For Leptospira species qPCR Panel
The Leptospira species Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid and specific detection of pathogenic Leptospira species DNA from bovine EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, urine, kidney tissue, liver tissue, placental tissue, aborted fetal tissues, and other appropriate veterinary clinical samples. It supports early diagnosis of bovine leptospirosis, differential diagnosis of reproductive and systemic infections, timely herd health management, and disease surveillance in cattle.
Intended Use
The Leptospira species / Bovine Control Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of pathogenic Leptospira species nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens collected from cattle. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of bovine leptospirosis, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of reproductive, renal, and systemic infections, timely therapeutic intervention, herd health management, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories. The integrated Bovine Control monitors specimen quality, nucleic acid extraction, and amplification performance.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of pathogenic Leptospira species, together with a Bovine Control target to verify sample integrity and assay performance.
During amplification, each probe specifically hybridizes to its corresponding target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of pathogenic Leptospira species nucleic acid while simultaneously verifying assay performance through the Bovine Control.
