for BoHV-1 qPCR Panel
The Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (BoHV-1) Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of Bovine herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1) DNA from nasal swabs, ocular swabs, genital swabs, semen, EDTA whole blood, tissue specimens (including lung, trachea, and lymph nodes), and aborted fetal tissues. Designed for veterinary diagnostic laboratories and animal health professionals, the kit supports early diagnosis of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis and associated reproductive infections, facilitating timely disease management, outbreak investigation, and implementation of effective biosecurity measures.
Intended Use
The Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (BoHV-1) Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Bovine Herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1) nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of bovine herpesviral infection, supporting early disease detection, timely therapeutic intervention, implementation of appropriate infection control measures, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of Bovine Herpesvirus 1.
During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to the target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Bovine Herpesvirus 1 nucleic acid.
Performance Characteristics
Sample Type
Bovine nasal swabs, conjunctival swabs, respiratory secretions, EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, genital secretions, semen, aborted fetal tissue, and other appropriate veterinary clinical specimens collected from clinically suspected cattle.
