Intended Use

The Hemaprotozoan Panel-1 Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of nucleic acids from multiple tick-borne hemoparasitic pathogens associated with canine vector-borne diseases in dogs. The kit aids in the diagnosis, differential identification, and monitoring of hemoprotozoan and rickettsial infections in veterinary clinical settings.

Principle of the Assay

This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with specific primers and fluorescent probes targeting conserved genomic regions of the pathogens included in the panel.

During amplification, each probe hybridizes to its corresponding target sequence and emits fluorescence, which is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence signal is proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling accurate detection of the pathogens present in the sample. A canine internal control is incorporated to monitor nucleic acid extraction efficiency, amplification performance, and assay integrity.
