Intended Use

The Francisella tularensis Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Francisella tularensis nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens collected from cats, dogs, rabbits, hares, rodents, sheep, and other susceptible animal species. Principle of the Assay

This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of Francisella tularensis.

During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to its target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Francisella tularensis nucleic acid.
