for Francisella tularensis qPCR Panel
The Francisella tularensis Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of Francisella tularensis DNA from EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, lymph node aspirates, ulcer or lesion swabs, tissue specimens, and other appropriate veterinary clinical samples collected from cats, dogs, rabbits, hares, rodents, sheep, and other susceptible animals. It supports early diagnosis of tularemia, timely therapeutic intervention, differential diagnosis of bacterial infections, and disease surveillance in veterinary practice.
Intended Use
The Francisella tularensis Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Francisella tularensis nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens collected from cats, dogs, rabbits, hares, rodents, sheep, and other susceptible animal species. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of tularemia, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of bacterial infections, timely therapeutic intervention, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of Francisella tularensis.
During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to its target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Francisella tularensis nucleic acid.
