For Cytauxzoon Felis qPCR Panel
The Cytauxzoon felis Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of Cytauxzoon felis DNA from feline EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, buffy coat, bone marrow aspirates, spleen aspirates, tissue specimens, and other appropriate veterinary clinical samples. Designed for veterinary diagnostic laboratories and feline healthcare professionals, the kit supports early diagnosis of cytauxzoonosis, facilitating timely therapeutic intervention and improved clinical management. Molecular detection is particularly valuable during the early stages of infection and in cases with low circulating parasite levels. The assay also aids in the differential diagnosis of feline hemoprotozoan infections and supports disease surveillance in domestic and wild felid populations.
Intended Use
The Cytauxzoon felis Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of Cytauxzoon felis nucleic acid in veterinary clinical specimens collected from cats. The kit aids in the diagnosis and monitoring of cytauxzoonosis, supporting early disease detection, differential diagnosis of feline hemoparasitic infections, timely therapeutic intervention, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting a conserved genomic region of Cytauxzoon felis.
During amplification, the probe specifically hybridizes to its target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and reliable detection of Cytauxzoon felis nucleic acid.
