The Canine Vector-Borne 9-plex Disease Real-Time PCR Detection Kit enables rapid and accurate detection of multiple clinically significant vector-borne pathogens affecting dogs from appropriate canine clinical specimens. The assay provides highly sensitive and specific results, supporting early diagnosis, differential detection of co-infections, timely treatment decisions, and effective disease surveillance and clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Intended Use
The Canine Vector-Borne Disease Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of nucleic acids from multiple clinically significant vector-borne pathogens associated with infectious diseases in dogs. The kit aids in the diagnosis, differential identification, and monitoring of canine vector-borne infections, supporting timely clinical intervention, appropriate treatment decisions, and effective disease management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Principle of the Assay
This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting conserved genomic regions of the included canine vector-borne pathogens.
During amplification, each probe specifically hybridizes to its corresponding target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and simultaneous detection and differentiation of multiple bacterial, protozoal, and parasitic pathogens in a single assay.
Performance Characteristics
Sample Type
Canine EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, serum, plasma, lymph node aspirates, bone marrow aspirates, splenic aspirates, buffy coat, and other appropriate veterinary clinical specimens collected from dogs with suspected vector-borne infections.
