Additional Details

for Canine Hemoparasite qPCR Panel

The Canine Hemoparasite Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is intended for the rapid and accurate detection of multiple clinically significant hemoparasites affecting dogs from appropriate veterinary clinical specimens. The assay provides highly sensitive and specific molecular detection, enabling early diagnosis, differential identification of blood-borne parasitic infections, and timely therapeutic intervention. It supports effective disease management, monitoring of treatment response, and improved clinical outcomes in veterinary diagnostic settings.

Intended Use

The Canine Hemoparasite Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the detection of nucleic acids from multiple clinically significant canine hemoparasites in veterinary clinical specimens. The kit aids in the diagnosis, differential identification, and monitoring of blood-borne parasitic and vector-borne infections in dogs, supporting timely therapeutic intervention, disease surveillance, and effective clinical management in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.

Principle of the Assay

This kit utilizes real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology with highly specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes targeting conserved genomic regions of the canine hemoparasites included in the panel.

During amplification, each probe specifically hybridizes to its corresponding target sequence and generates a fluorescence signal that is detected by compatible real-time PCR instruments. The increase in fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the accumulation of amplified product, enabling sensitive, specific, and simultaneous detection and differentiation of the targeted hemoparasites.

Performance Characteristics

  • High analytical sensitivity for early detection of canine hemoparasitic infections
  • High specificity for the targeted canine hemoparasites
  • High reproducibility and assay stability
  • No cross-reactivity with non-target veterinary pathogens

Sample Type

Canine EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood, bone marrow aspirates, lymph node aspirates, spleen aspirates, and other appropriate veterinary clinical specimens collected from clinically suspected dogs.

Kit Features & Advantages

  • Rapid and reliable molecular detection
  • Simultaneous detection of multiple clinically important canine hemoparasites
  • Supports early diagnosis and differential identification of mixed infections
  • Simple workflow with minimal hands-on time
  • Compatible with major real-time PCR platforms
